I endorse Terry b/c I believe he agrees with the UN Secretary General that we are on the path to environmental chaos that must be reversed if our children and grandchildren are to have normal lives. — And if you think this statement is hyperbole, starting asking your friends with young children about their kids’ pulmonary diseases. You’ll confirm medical studies that show our polluted atmosphere is causing asthma and other diseases in our young people at a rate three times what the last generation experienced and 10 times the rate that old folks like myself experienced. — We cannot “balance” environmental necessity for a livable planet with needs — however pressing and heart-tugging — with what allows us to survive.
